Strathmore 400 Series Bristol Board Pads are available in two surfaces, Smooth and Vellum. The Smooth Surface is great for graphite and colored pencil, pen and ink, marker, mixed media and collage. The Vellum Surface excellent for pencil, charcoal, and pastel, as well as airbrush and light washes. Not recommended for traditional watercolor techniques.
